YouTube change impacts TBT Newshour video uploads

Third-party automation uploads no longer allowed by YouTube.

THUNDER BAY -- As longtime readers of this site may have noticed, the TBT Newshour and individual television news stories have disappeared from TBNewswatch.

This is due to a change instigated by YouTube that no longer allows third-party automation to upload videos to YouTube.

Unfortunately, TBT News used an automation system to upload its videos.

"We are currently working on a solution to the issue and hope to have the Newshour and related videos back on our website as soon as possible," said Dougall Media director of news, Leith Dunick.

Viewers can still see the full newshour on 6 p.m. weekdays on CKPR Television.

"We apologize for any inconvenience that has occurred as a result of the situation," Dunick said. "We've had several inquiries since the change was instituted on Sept. 18, so we know there's a demand for the service."
