THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay got a surprise shout-out Monday from Hollywood.

The Young and the Restless icon Victor Newman, played for the past 36 years by Eric Braeden, name-checked the Northern Ontario city in the long-running soap opera’s latest episode.

“The pilot flew her to Thunder Bay, Ont.,” Newman said of the character Chloe Mitchell, who earlier in the episode had been revealed to have killed Newman’s son Adam.

Chloe, upon landing, apparently got into a waiting car and sped off into the Canadian wilderness.

The Young and the Restless airs on Global Thunder Bay.
