It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Mrs. Ada Lemay announce her passing on Monday, February 15, 2016.

Ada was known for her kindness, wisdom and strength. These traits were echoed most recently in her friendships and demeanor while a resident of long-term care for the past seven years. Her numerous volunteer activities included over 60 years as a member of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada, many years working with seniors at Pinewood Court Residence and as a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society promoting women’s health.

Ada’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her humility and elegance prevailed until the last moments that she was welcomed into the arms of God.

Predeceased by her beloved husband George, her parents Dona and Adèle, her infant brothers Elger and Fred, brothers Alec, Leonard and Reginald and brothers-in-law Don Teskey and Tom Hogan.

Left remembering her in their hearts are sons Lawrence (Donna), Robert (Susie), Paul and daughter Adèle (Mario); granddaughters Janeen, Laureen (Dan) and Annick; great grandchildren Kaili, Dylan and Teagan; brothers, sisters and their spouses Geraldine Vaillant, Helen Hogan, Doris (Richard) Hill, Marilyn Vaillant, Nan Vaillant, Agnes Teskey, Lorne (Eleanor) Vaillant, Lorraine (Sam) Sweeny, Orval (Eunice) Vaillant, Patricia (Roger) Yurick, Clifford (Wendy) Vaillant and Evelyn Glenn (Stan), and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 with friends and family gathering in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 12:10 PM celebrated by Fr. James Panikulam. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

“Spread love everywhere you go.
Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.”
