<p> Mrs. Alice&nbsp; Colyer (nee Goodman), age 97 years, passed away peacefully at Pinewood Court on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Alice was born in Leeds, England on Sept. 6, 1914 to William and Clara Goodman and came to Fort William in 1923.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> She was a member of the Amethyst Rebekah Lodge&nbsp; no. 106, the Ladies Auxiliary of Port Arthur Branch no. 5 of the Royal Canadian Legion and St. John&rsquo;s Anglican Church.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Alice was employed by T. Eaton Co. as a clerk for 20 years, retiring in the early &#39;70s.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> An ardent gardener, she was involved with the Gladiolus Society. She is survived by her sister Norma (Ray) Tuokko, brother Douglas Goodman as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> She was predeceased by her husband George Colyer in 1980, her parents William and Clara Goodman, sisters: Amy Walford, Florence Grayson, Lillian Soltys, Shirley Leiterman, Freda Rigg, Hazel Kirkby and Nellie Takats, and brothers Edward and Arthur Goodman.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Sargent &amp; Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Mary Lucas of St. John&rsquo;s Anglican Church presiding.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> The interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.&nbsp; Visitation for friends will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6-7 p.m. in the Sargent &amp; Son Chapel.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> As expressions of sympathy memorials to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation-Northern Cancer Fund would be appreciated.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Online condolences may be made at <a href="http://www.sargentandson.com" target="_blank">www.sargentandson.com</a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> <br /> <br /> &nbsp;</p>
