Mrs. Alice Donalda Munro (Lord), 93 years of age, resident of Thunder Bay, died at St. Joseph’s Care Group, August 22, 2022, peacefully in her sleep.
Alice was born in Battleford Saskatchewan and moved to Thunder Bay with her family at the beginning of World War II. Alice was a nurse for her entire career, working in surgery and developing programs to support those with special needs. Alice was married for over 49 years to her love, Don. Alice enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, and her annual visit to Maui, Hawaii. Alice is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, other relatives, and close friends. She was predeceased by her parents Norman and Beatrice, husband Don, son Bradley Keith, and brother Keith.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church with Rev. Joyce Yanishewski officiating, refreshments to follow. Interment will follow later in Mountain View cemetery. Memorial donations to the Lakehead University Nursing Equipment Fund at
