Ann’s family is saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, April 3, 2022 in St. Joseph’s Hospice at the age of 99.
She was born near Perth, Scotland on March 25,1923 and married Jim, her Canadian Army lad in Perth on February 12, 1944.
As a war bride, Ann travelled alone to London before taking the 10 day sailing trip on the Aquitania to Pier 21 in Halifax and then another long train trip from there to Fort William.
Ann was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and it’s Evening Guild for over 50 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Jim in 2011 as well as her sisters and brothers in Scotland. Ann is survived by her son Jim (Sandi) and daughter Lynda (Norman), grandsons Christopher (Andrea) and Cailean and great granddaughter Sarah. She also has many other relatives in Canada, Scotland and Germany.
Ann requested there be a private family service held on a warm, sunny day.
