Mrs. Anna Klusa passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Anna was born January 20, 1955 in Bokiv, Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine. She lived and worked as an accountant in Ukraine, until moving with the family to Canada on March 30, 1994. Anna became a cook in the Ukrainian Pros Vita, making delicious perogies and cabbage rolls, which she was well know for in this city. She married her husband, Ihor Klusa on February 17, 1974, and together they had three children; Natalie, Andrew, and Ihor.
Anna is predeceased by her parents, Myhailo and Malanie (nee Solovy) Mychylowski. She is survived by her husband Ihor, her daughter Natalie (Volodymyr) Voloshyn, sons Ihor Jr. and Andrew (Chelsea) Klusa; grandsons Anton (Irina) and Sergey Voloshyn of Ukraine, Preston Klusa of Canada, and great-grandson Marko Voloshyn. Also survived are her brothers Volodymyr (Nadia) Mychylowski and their children, Oksasa and Volodymyr, and Myhailo (Halyna) Mychylowski and their son, Boghdan.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 10:00am in the Ukrainian Catholic Church of Transfiguration, celebrated by Rev. Andriy Stetsyk. Panachyda will be offered on Monday, November 25 at 7:00pm at the Blake Funeral Chapel, with visitation starting at 5:00pm. Interment will take place following Mass at the Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
