With great sadness, the family of Anne Marie Craigie (nee Nousiainen), announces her passing on September 25, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born on October 2, 1953, Anne became a well-respected law clerk in Thunder Bay, Ontario. After retiring in 2018, Anne moved to Melaque, Mexico to live out her dream of living on the beach. Anne was well loved by everyone she met and had an infectious positive outlook on life and constantly talked of her grandkids whom were her pride and joy.
Anne is survived by her first love, Glen, children, Tarl and Breanne, her grandchildren, Taylor, Serenity, and Sadie, siblings, Eric (Cathy), and Audrey (Jari), as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, including her kindred-spirit, Bonnie. Anne is predeceased by her parents, Eila and Arne Nousiainen, sister, Arlene, nephew, Jason and sister-in-law Debbie.
A funeral will be held on October 5, 2023 at 11:00am at Christ Lutheran Church, 47 Walkover Street in Thunder Bay with a celebration of life to follow in Mexico in 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, of whom Anne was a long-time supporter.
