Mrs. Annette Comuzzi age 80 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away in Pinewood on Monday, February 6, 2017. Annette attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and St. Patrick’s High School. She worked as a secretary/clerk for almost 40 years before her retirement.

She married Joseph Comuzzi in 1957 and together they spent the next 55 years residing in the East End. After her retirement she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She especially treasured all of the family dinners and holiday get-togethers. Annette enjoyed gardening, shopping and watching every episode of the Young & the Restless.

In her younger years, she enjoyed weekend camping at Whitefish Lake and winter vacations to Barbados.

Annette was very proud of her Italian heritage and believed in maintaining many Italian traditions. She was also a member of St. Peter’s CWL.

Annette is survived by her loving son Jamie (Larry), sister-in-law Norma Maronese; nephews and nieces, Bill Comuzzi, Cathy Solda (Mike), Robbie Maronese (Sylvia), and Laura Buset (Dino). Also survived by close family members Rita Comuzzi (Bill Unger), Lucy Comuzzi and other relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Comuzzi, her parents Benedetto and Elvira Maronese, in-laws Ettore and Adele Comuzzi, sister Bruna Comuzzi, brother Stanley Maronese, and brother-in-law William Comuzzi.

The family of Annette Comuzzi would like to thank all of the wonderful staff of the Blue Heron unit at Pinewood Court, Dr. Steve Klassen, and Dr. Ruby Klassen for their wonderful care and compassion shown to her over the past two years.  Many of you went above and beyond your duties for which we are thankful.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church celebrated by Rev. Joseph Arockiam.

Visitation will take place one hour prior to mass in the Church. Cremation has taken place and Interment will follow in Our Lady of Charity Mausoleum, St. Andrews Cemetery.

If friends desire, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
