Today the family of Atick “Charles, Michael” King, honour his passing, recognizing that his journey in this world has come to an end. As we gather to remember him, we acknowledge the sacred circle of life and the interconnectedness of all living beings. Atick’s spirit which now soars with the eagles and dances with the winds, lived a life filled with purpose and love. His presence on this earth was a gift to those who knew him, and his memory will continue to reside in the hearts of his loved ones. As he begins his journey into the spirit world, we pray he finds peace and reunites with those who have gone before him.
Atick, who was known for his jovial nature and his incredible Elvis impressions, brought immense joy to those around him, especially during the Christmas season. Atick was not only a loving family man but was also a dedicated provider who tirelessly worked in the field of exploration within the technical services industry. His roles as a line cutter, claims Staker, and prospector took him on adventures across Ontario, where he made significant contributions to various projects. His expertise and dedication were commendable, leaving a lasting impact on the industry he served. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Atick was a well-known fishing guide for several northern fishing resorts. Through his role he cultivated numerous deep friendships and shared his passion for angling with others. His warmth, knowledge and camaraderie made him a beloved figure in the fishing community.
Atick will be lovingly remembered by his children Charles "Alex” King (Sammie), Marni MacPherson (Bradford) and Nicholas MacPherson. His grandchildren Laura (Jesse), Katelin (Davis) Emily (Dustin), Keira and Lucas and great-grandson Tyler-James. Atick was predeceased by his beloved and ever so patient wife of 40 years Susan King just three months prior. Since her passing he was never the same. Atick had some health issues which contributed to his passing but none more devastating than the broken heart he endured.
Our family will remember his laughter, his wisdom, and the warmth of his soul as we send him off with love and gratitude. As the stars twinkle in the night sky, we know that Atick King’s spirit will forever be a part of the universe, guiding us, protecting us, and reminding us of the beauty and significance of every moment in this life. In this way, he lives on, and his memory will be cherished.
A celebration honouring his life is forthcoming, but still to be arranged. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Underground Gym via their website https://undergroundgym.ca in Atick’s honour.
