Passed away peacefully with “her girls” by her side on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the age of 91. Mum was born and raised in Montreal and she and Dad moved to Thunder Bay in 1992.
Mum was an avid quilter and in more recent years kept the Red Cross well supplied with knitted hats, mitts and blankets.
Mum will be greatly missed by her daughters, Barbara LaBarre (Danny), Susan Bortolon (Larry) and Margaret Hensen (Richard), grandchildren, Robynn Stirrett (Greg), Eric LaBarre (Jessica), Amy Della Mattia (Dave), Ryan Bortolon, Scott & Mark Hensen, and great grandchildren, Ethan and Bryson LaBarre, Abigail, Olivia and Luke Stirrett and Hudson Della Mattia. Predeceased by her husband, Eric, in 2008 and infant daughter, Carol.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Care Group. A special thank you to the wonderful nurses in Hospice and 3A at TBRHSC. As per Mum’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
A tree will be planted in memory of Audrey Floud in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
