Mrs. Barbara Anne Aubé (nee Rose), age 80 years, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2023 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Barbara was born in Port Arthur, Ontario on April 14, 1943, the daughter of Ernest and Ina Rose. She was educated locally and went on to have a long career as a Healthcare Aide at Beacon Hill Lodge, where she made many friends over the years.

Barbara met her true love, Joseph Louis Aubé and they were married on July 9, 1960, building a wonderful life and spending nearly 55 years together until his passing in 2015. Barb loved reading her novels, going to Bingo with friends as well as watching Wheel of Fortune and baseball, especially the Toronto Blue Jays. Family was her biggest passion and time spent with them was always something she looked forward to. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and others who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Colleen (Donald) and three sons, Robert (Colleen), André (Michelle) and René as well as her granddaughters Katelynn, Brooke (Cody) Zellweger, Holly (Draper), Savannah and great-grandson Brandon. She is also survived by her brother Brian Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis; her parents and numerous siblings-in-law.

A Private Graveside Service for Barbara will be held in Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.

Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Barbara to Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
