Bruce Edward Kruppa, born September 22, 1962, was set free to fly with the Angels and sing with Elvis Presley, on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. His loving family, and special caregivers from his home were at his bedside.
Bruce was born and raised in Thunder Bay. He attended W.J. Griffis Center, Twinhaven School, Fort William Collegiate, Monty Parks Center and Special Olympics. Mention has to be given to his life-long devotion to Elvis and all kinds of music.
Bruce is survived by his parents, Ed and Ruth (Lemon) Kruppa; brother Steve (Sue) and sisters Kelly and Karin (Kevin); niece Cass Breukelman; nephews Kyle Breukelman, Ryan and Mark Kruppa and Shane Kennedy; Aunt Peggy Gemmell and numerous special cousins. Grandparents Ann and Louis Kruppa and Bruce and Nellie Lemon (very special Nanny) predeceased Bruce.
We invite family and friends to join us at an Open House Reception at Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 S. Syndicate Avenue, on Saturday, April 28 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. There will be an opportunity to share a few “big fish” stories to Celebrate his Life.
There will also be a shared Celebration of Life, for Bruce and his close “buddy” Mark Lambert at Oliver Road Rec Center on Thursday, April 26 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. for their Community Living family and Special Olympic friends.
If friends so desire, donations to Special Olympics Thunder Bay or Community Living Thunder Bay would be appreciated.
We were blessed to have learned many valuable lessons from Bruce... how to hug, dance, sing, laugh, love and be happy. He was given the gift of life, and now has given it back.
Many Thanks to the Paramedics, Emergency personnel, amazing Masters Street Caregivers and Aaron Medd N.P.
