Mrs. Carol Howarth passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on October 15th, 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Carol was predeceased by her husband Jim, daughter Jody, parents Timothy and Wilda and brothers Paddy and Timmy. Survived by children Kirk (Cindy), Cyndy (Rick), Shelley, Leslie, Patrick, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many friends. Following Jody's passing, Carol developed a special relationship with Jody's daughter Jaaz.
Carol was a joyful and dedicated Christian active in all aspects of Church Life at both Thunder Bay and O'Connor Free Methodist churches. Co-founder of the bluegrass gospel group “The Kings Highway”, she and friends Eddy and Monica spread the gospel message to shut-ins and at community events locally and in the district. Carol's voice, songwriting skills and her banter never failed to entertain. Carol was full of life, love and laughter and will be missed by all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:00 am at O'Connor Free Methodist Church, 293 Sitch Road, O'Connor Township.
