It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Carol on January 23, 2023, at Southbridge Lakehead Manor. Carol was born October 28, 1942, in Port Arthur, Ontario to Bill and Dorothy Parsons.
Summers were spent at camp at West Green Bay from 1952 – 2011. Summers meant the family joining her and Ken for weekends with suppers, card games, Scrabble, bonfires, and Bocce Ball. There was a large garden with lots to give to family and friends. Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed visits to the casino. She enjoyed over 40 years of curling, 40 plus years with the S&B group (Knitting Club), and cribbage at the West Arthur Community Center. She was a secretary for the Westfort Community Center for 22 years and spent her nights doing crafts which included painting, cross-stich and Norwegian weaving to name a few. Carol also handmade Christmas Ornaments for 16 family members every year for 39 years.
Carol leaves to mourn, her son Ronald McEachern, daughter Deborah Trochimchuk (Mark Desjardins), stepsons David MacDonald (Carol) in Calgary, Marshall MacDonald in Carman Manitoba, her grandchildren, whom she loved very much, Quinn McEachern, Ryan Trochimchuk (Carolyn Sutyor), Jake McEachern (Zach), step grandson Alex Desjardins, her brother Don Parsons (Paula) in Guelph, and their children Clara Parsons (Mike Ennis), Julia Kyle (Gerry), Nathan Parsons (Holly), and Alison Sommers (Kirk), great niece and nephews Paula Kyle, Declan Kyle, and Conner Parsons, her in-laws Lorne (Pam), Angus (Linda), Gordon (Berta), Margaret (Bob, Deceased), Lorna (Paul), their Families, as well as her grand fur pets McCoy, Catnis, Lily, Mystic, and Nova.
