It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn O’Grady on March 12, 2010 at the age of 77 in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Thunder Bay.
Carolyn was born on April 6, 1932 in Grenfell, Saskatchewan, moving to Thunder Bay in 1937, and resided there until 1963. Carolyn moved to Dryden where she worked until returning to Thunder Bay in 1984, working until her retirement.
Carolyn will be sadly missed by her son Kim (Susan); grandson Micheal; great granddaughter Harley and friend Jerry. Carolyn is survived by her sisters: May Lajeune (Aurel), Ruth Cutbush, Edna Gurney, Marlene Scully; and brother John Appel. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
At Carolyn’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no Funeral Service. Interment of ashes will be at a later date. If friends so desire donations may be made in Carolyn’s memory to a charity of choice.
