It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Catharine May Lesnick peacefully in Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday, January 19, 2025. While our time with her was cut short, we are comforted knowing that her selfless act of organ donation will allow her to live on through those she helped.

Catharine was born in Thunder Bay on February 24, 1982 to her loving parents Richard and Violet (nee Spring) Lesnick. She was educated locally, graduating from Westgate High School. Catharine worked for Brokerlink Insurance for many years, but with her entrepreneurial spirit, kept busy with her other side businesses. She was an independent consultant for various companies including Avon, Scentsy, The Watkins Company and Thirty-One Gifts. Catharine was very crafty and enjoyed knitting, beading and crocheting, making many special items and jewelry, which developed into another business for her. She loved being outdoors, gardening, mowing the lawn, or just enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. Catharine also had a passion for travelling, taking various trips to Cuba, Jamaica as well as Las Vegas, where she attended concerts, tried her luck in the casinos and walked the strip. Family was her main focus and she was a loving and devoted Mom to 2 special guinea pigs, Sirius and Bear. Catharine's big heart, kindness and devotion to family and friends will be forever missed, but the memories we are left with will be forever in our hearts.

Catharine is survived by her parents, Richard and Violet Lesnick as well as an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents.

A graveside service for Catharine will be held in the Spring in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Should friends so desire, donations made in her memory to Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
