The family of Craig Terrance John Williams is heartbroken to announce his passing after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. He passed peacefully, surrounded by love at Pioneer Ridge on July 20th, 2024. Craig was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin and friend whose humour and generous spirit will be missed by many.

Craig was born on December 1st, 1953 in Port Arthur, Ontario to Helvi and Alvin Williams. He attended Oliver Road Elementary School, Port Arthur Collegiate Institute, and received his Civil Engineering degree from Lakehead University. Craig worked for the Ministry of Transportation, first in road construction and then as a traffic analyst. He chose early retirement at the age of fifty.

In 1969, Craig went on a hayride and met the love of his life, Barbara McDonald. They were inseparable and were married in 1975. Soon came the other loves of his life -their children Jessica, Jonathan, and Jason; all of whom he was so proud. Adventures were had - endless road trips, tent camping in Provincial Parks, and so much family fun. Time flew by, and in 2007 Craig embraced a new role - Grandpa. Craig adored all six of his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Craig was always the funniest guy in the room and loved life. He was a Chevy man and a dog lover. He loved a cold Budweiser and a barbequed steak. Craig was a huge fan of curling and Nascar. He loved listening to music, shooting pool, and watching TV, comfy on the couch.

Craig is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Barb; his children Jessica McDonald (Bill), Jonathan Williams (Julie), and Jason Williams (Danielle); his grandchildren Theodore and Alvin McDonald, Kinsey and Beckett Williams, and Alia and J.J. Williams. Also survived by brother Don Williams, nephew Terry Williams, niece Kristin Williams, great-nieces Brooke an Ashley Williams, sister-in law Georgina Slobodzian (Steve), nieces Lyndsy and Stacey Slobodzian, and numerous cousins. Craig is pre-deceased by his parents Helvi and Alvin Williams, his in-laws Kay and Ted McDonald, his sister-in-law Kathy Williams, and his dear nephew Trevor Williams.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider donating to the Michael J. Fox Foundation (michaeljfox.org), or Parkinson Canada, so that a cure for this terrible disease may one day be found.

Endless thanks and sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Plaza 4 at Pioneer Ridge for their incredible care of Dad, and additionally, Mom. You have all been so kind and comforting during this devastating time. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Craig's life will take place at Sargent and Son Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
