It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Mr. David Julius Louis Albert Dubray announce his passing at forty-five years of age on June 21st, 2024, following a battle with cancer at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

David was born December 2nd,1978 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Growing up he enjoyed spending time with his father, mother and sisters, especially on the family trips they would take. The memories they made together instilled the strong love of family and togetherness. David would carry with him into adulthood. David fondly cherished these early childhood memories and would often reminisce of the times his father would pick him up on the train and take him for rides when they lived in Rosslyn.

David was an incredibly proud truck driver of twenty-plus years, as well, he loved operating an excavator. His dedication and work ethic kept him in demand, he was highly recommended for his pristine work ethic and efficiency, and he felt very accomplished seeing his work when it was done. He had recently been employed with Chaschuk Enterprises and Nadin Contracting and thoroughly enjoyed working with both.

While David was most happy on his snow machine, he had recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning his own boat. Making memories together as a family whether on snow or water was the most important thing to David, his wife and children meant everything to him.

David leaves behind his adoring wife Sara, daughters Olivia (Gavin) and Haylee, son Dillyan, the light of his life granddaughter Kensley, his father and best friend David Dubray Sr and step-mother Candy Dubray, loving mother Patricia Cole, sisters Jenny (Mike) Marini and Danielle (Shawn) Goodwin, in-laws Dan and Cindi Sameluk and Kevin and Janice Lindsay, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other in-laws.

Funeral service will be held at St. Agnes Church, 1019 Brown St, Thunder Bay, and will take place on July 2nd, 2024 at 1:00pm. For those who cannot attend you can go to St. Agnes Church Thunder Bay via Facebook and view the live stream at 1:00pm.

When tomorrow starts without me,

And I’m not there to see,

If the sun should rise and find your eyes

All filled with tears for me,

I wish so much you wouldn’t cry

The way you did today,

While thinking of the many things

We didn’t get to say.

I know how much you love me, As much as I love you,

And every time you think of me,

I know you’ll miss me, too.

When tomorrow starts without me,

Don’t think we’re far apart,

For every time you think of me

I'll be right here in your heart.
