At the young age of 64, it is with profound sadness and so much love that we announce the passing of David McClary (Jones). After a courageous battle with cancer, David passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and close friends, listening to his favourite tunes at Wilson Memorial General Hospital in Marathon.

Loving husband of Christine and beloved father of Paul McClary (Denise) and Jessica Pintaric (Ashley). Fun loving grandfather to Jacob, Justin, Taylor, Emily, Jordyn, and Linden. Raised by Myrtle, Conley and Jackie Jones. Brother to Rhonda DeGraw (Joe), Kelly Ethier (Shawn), Iris Bertrand (Robin) and special cousin to Shelly Teske. Reunited with his sister, Janice Lessard. Son-in-law of late Cletus and Jacqueline O'Brien. Brother-in-law to Patrick O'Brien (Colleen), Susan McAuley (late Mike), late Richard O'Brien, Louise MacKay (Dan) and Denise Griswold (Scott). Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins will miss him.

Many friends and family loved Dave. Barry, Russell, Frank, Tony C., Tony S., and his hunting and fishing buddies held special spots.

Dave grew up in Blind River, where he raised his family and started his mining career at Denison Mine. Later in life, he started a new journey at Williams Gold Mine in Marathon, where he created many amazing, long-lasting friendships.

Everyone knew Dave. He was the life of any gathering. He always knew how to have a great time. Sharing Dave's stories gave us countless hours of laughter. He was a man of his word and was always the one to lend a helping hand. He literally would give anyone the shirt off his back.

Dave was often known as Crazy Dave, Mr. Sudbury, and Denim Dave. He was very proud of all the nicknames given to him throughout his life.

Our family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Febrerro and the cancer clinic in Sault Ste. Marie. Their kindness was outstanding.

Thank you to Dr. DeMiglio in Marathon for making special home visits and always taking the time to be personal and check in. We can't thank the nursing staff at Wilson Memorial enough. Their compassion was next to none. And lastly, a very special thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Jen Eagle. Without you, Dave would not have felt so cared for. You made Dave feel safe; your love for our family and everything you have done will never be forgotten.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 183 (37 Howe St.) in Marathon, May 17th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. A funeral service will be held in Blind River. Family will share details at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to Wilson Memorial General Hospital in Marathon. http://www.nosh.ca/

May you rest in peace in your Canadian Tuxedo. Cheers
