David Wyrozub passed away with family by his side at the TBRHSC on Thursday, January 25, 2024. David was born November 1, 1949. David was a proud father, grandfather and recently great-grandfather (GG). David was a kind man who could get fired up talking about politics and enjoyed debating respectfully with family. He also had a love for his many canine companions, most recently Drizzt. Who will also miss him dearly.

He spent his early years on the dirt roads of Oliver Paipoonge, where he had many friends playing hockey and baseball, and of course always getting into some kind of trouble. This is also where he met his future wife, Marilyn. David and Marilyn were married in February 1970, soon after, they welcomed daughter Jodi-Rae and then son Jason. While raising a family, David became a pipe-fitter and had a long career with local 628 until he ventured off on his own to Alberta where he continued to mentor many apprentice pipe-fitters; including his son.

David enjoyed his many fishing trips with Marilyn, where in the early days was in a canoe. They enjoyed being out on the lake together, it never mattered what the weather was doing! After losing Marilyn he had a difficult time moving forward, he missed her terribly.

David is predeceased by wife Marilyn, parents (Mitchell) Smokey and Alma Wyrozub, and numerous other family members.

David will be remembered lovingly and very missed by son Jason, daughter Jodi-Rae Zyla (Randy) his beautiful granddaughters Kaylie Seed (Colin), Kimberly (Aaron), Keana (Jared), and his newest edition, great-grandson George Seed. All who he adored.

The family would like to thank the ICU doctors and ICU nurse Josh for the care and compassion provided to David in his final moments.

As per David’s wishes cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to Murillo Mutts would be greatly appreciated.

Dad we hope you have finally found peace.
