Mrs. Denise Marie Moon, age 57 years, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011.
Denise was born on Dec. 8, 1953 in Terrace Bay, Ont., to Paul and Yvonne Rochon.
She married Bill Moon on Dec. 29, 1971 in Terrace Bay and they raised two great kids. Raised with four sisters and four brothers, Denise loved her family. She enjoyed camping, quilting and needlework, especially making quilts for her grandchildren.
Survived by her husband of 39 years, Bill, children Paula and Jayson, daughter-in-law Krystal, three grandchildren Kaiya, Ava and Cole, her parents Paul and Yvonne, sisters and brothers Claude (Linda), Robert, Aline (Robin), David, Michelle (Les), Joe (Tina), Marie (Roma), Elizabeth (Barry). Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Marilyn and Ed Chicoine, Kathy and John Best, Paul and Patti Moon, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by mother-in-law and father-in-law Bill and Pauline Moon.
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Denise Marie Moon will be held on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 with family and friends gathering at St. Martin's Roman Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. celebrated by Father Raul Escarpe. Interment will be held at a later date.
Visitation for friends will be on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Church.
Should friends so desire, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
