Diane (Bouvier) Puchalski passed away in the early hours of Sunday, September 4, 2022. Diane was born October30, 1933 in Gravelbourg Saskatchewan. She moved to Nipigon Ontario at the age of 9, where her father bought and managed a garage. She attended private school at St. Norbert's in Manitoba.

Diane married Arthur Puchalski on June 19, 1951, and moved to Fort William (Thunder Bay) Ontario, where Art built their family home. Diane trained and worked as registered nursing assistant for over 35 years at a number of Thunder Bay hospitals.

She always loved visiting with people and volunteered with a number of organizations while working, including: "meals on wheels" and bringing books for "home care" people, and once retired from nursing, did home visits with "shut-ins" and volunteered at the "55 plus centre". She was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Catholic Women's League at St. Agnes Church for several years. She enjoyed Tai-Chi classes and loved her bowling league friends.

She is predeceased by husband Art, her parents Armand and Annette Bouvier, and her brothers Robert and Daniel. She leaves behind her loving children and grandchildren, siblings Mariette, Maurice and Paul, and many close nieces and nephews. Diane's greatest gift was her children, daughters Ione Puchalski and Lisa Puchalski Ritchie (husband Kevin) and son Francis Puchalski (wife Zenya), her grandchildren Larissa (Dustin), Raya (Mitch), Kali (Jake), and Christian (Layla) and her great-grandchildren Thorin, Mika, and Bronwynn.

Funeral services will take place at a date yet to be determined in October, 2022. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Andrew's Dew Drop Inn Thunder Bay Ontario.
