Donald Wright

It is with deep sadness, the family of Donald Wright announces his peaceful passing at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Sunday, February 15, 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on March 12, 1945, in Port Arthur to Stephen and Kathleen. He married Cheryl (Stewardson) on October 28, 1967 and together they had three children, Scott (Daniella), Shaun (Lanette) and Tracy. Don worked at The Great Lakes Paper Mill until his retirement in 2004. He was a great family man and was extremely proud of his grandchildren.

He was also a man of great faith which is what saw him through his illness. He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren: Tyler, Matthew, Brandon, Samantha, Joshua and Abigail.

Also survived by his brother Kenneth (Vickie); sisters Shirley Harris (Michael) and Mary Ann Fogolin (Larry) and their families.

Predeceased by his parents and numerous other relatives. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass for Mr. Wright will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at St. Elizabeth’s R.C. Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
