Douglas Harold Campbell, age 57 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 31, 2015 in the
Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
He was predeceased by his parents John and Betty Campbell. Douglas will be missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Carolyn (Frank), brothers David (Elizabeth) and John (Donna), as well as nephew Lawrence and nieces Rebecca, Larissa and Kayla.
Douglas was a special man who always wanted to help. He enjoyed daily walks to Robins for coffee and he made many friends there. Douglas also had a second family at Hodder Avenue Group Home, who were very special and caring towards him.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hodder House for taking care of Douglas for many years and treating him as part of their family. Also, the family would like to thank the staff at Thunder Bay Health Sciences Centre for their efforts and support during this grievous time.
A Celebration of Douglas’ life will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 10:00AM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma, officiated by Reverend Chris Harper. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
