Douglas Aksel Johnson peacefully passed away in his wife's arms at 4:15 on May 21st, 2015 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Doug will be sadly missed and remembered by his wife Christine, son Stephan and daughter Robin, mother Eileen, sisters Cheryl and Joanne, and his grandchildren Brooke, Dawn, Claire and Tyler as well many nephews and nieces. Doug was predeceased by his father Aksel and his sister Karen.
Doug will be remembered as the loving father, grandfather, husband, son, brother and friend that he was.
A memorial service will be held at Harbourview Funeral Centre on Tuesday, May 26th from 12:00 Noon until2:00 p.m. for anyone wishing to attend. Please do not send flowers; instead hug a child, pet a dog and feed the birds as these are what Doug believed held true value in life.
