Edith May Boyer
December 2, 1940- December 20, 2023

It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our mother Edith (Edie) Boyer, who passed away peacefully with family by her side.
Edie was born in Port Arthur, Ontario in 1940, then the family moved to O'Connor Township, where she spent her younger years growing up, before returning to Thunder Bay, where she married James Boyer, and had four children.
Edie was a hard worker, she spent 20 years as a custodian at the University of Thunder Bay, where she thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie of her coworkers.
Edie was a member of the Westfort Prosvita for many years, where she loved to meet with friends and share stories.
Her passions were many, such as crafting, fishing, camping, mini home renovations, and of course everybody knew her greatest love was for her many fur babies over the years.
Predeceased by her mother and father Esther and Frederick Deaper.
Edie is survived by her children, Katherine Chiasson (Calgary), Lynn Boyer (Thunder Bay), Bonnie McLeod (Victoria, B.C.) and Jim Boyer (Thunder Bay), six grandchildren David, Meaghan, Amani, Darren,
Melissa, Kendle and two great grandchildren Jaxon and Myla.
Edie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to all of the staff at Hogarth Riverview Manor, 4 South who took excellent care of our mother during her short stay. A small family celebration will take place at a
later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the heart and kidney foundation.

Fly with the angels Mama.
