The heartbroken family announces the passing of Edwin  Sohlman, age 64 years,  in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, October 29, 2015 with family by his side.

Ed leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Debbie; father Walter Edwin; brother Wayne (Margit); sister Lori Perger; sisters-in-law Cindy (Al) Jamik, Patricia (Earl) Hartlin, and  Laura Osmar; brothers-in-law Wayne (Patricia) Osmar and Christopher Osmar; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles as well as his “fur baby” Lady.

Edwin was predeceased by his beloved mother Irene; brother-in-law Rob Perger; grandparents (Antti) Andrew and Linnea Sohlman and Joseph and Beatrice Allen; mother-in-law and father-in-law Helen and Harold Osmar.

Ed and Debbie were inseparable; you never saw one without the other, more often than not, at the Java Hut. They enjoyed many years of camping and fishing at Cushing Lake Resort at Lac Des Mille Lacs where Ed was the one who usually caught the most fish.  As well, he enjoyed bird hunting.

Ed worked for Abitibi/Provincial Papers/Cascade for over 30 years.  Ed loved working in the garage, building and creating things, and working on anything mechanical, especially motors.  He also loved to paint and draw.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life in memory of Edwin will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 when family and friends may visit between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. at the Oliver Road Community Centre, 563 Oliver Road.
