Emily Pelletier, age 67 years, resident of Fort William First Nation, passed away at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital with family by her side on Monday, December 31, 2018.  Emily recently moved back to Thunder Bay from Kelowna, B.C. where she resided for about 20 years.  Emily enjoyed spending time with her children and doing a lot of adventurous activities. She enjoyed bingo at times and also playing different games.  She also loved to travel.  B.C. was the place she loved the most.  Emily was deeply devoted to the Catholic faith. 

Survived by her sons Rodney Banning Jr., Parrish Kastern and daughter Monique Banning and grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; brothers – John Pelletier (Ursula), Louis Pelletier (Eleanor), Victor Pelletier (Maureen), Maurice Pelletier (Donna), Marcel Pelletier (Sherry); sisters – Elizabeth Pelletier, Mary Anne Morriseau, Isabel LeGarde, Judy Morriseau (Larry), Bernice Pelletier (Buggy) and numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and many other relations.  Predeceased by her son Cory Pelletier; her father Chief Frank Pelletier and mother Kathleen Pelletier, brothers - Bill MacLaurin, Francis Pelletier, Moses Pelletier; sisters Margaret Pervais, Rita Singleton, Charlotte Pelletier, Catherine Collins, Frances Morriseau and Patricia Pelletier. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anne’s Mission Church celebrated by Rev. Larry Kroker. Prayers will be offered on Friday, January 4, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. 

Emily Pelletier will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
