It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Eva Green at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the age of 92 years young.

Eva was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 21, 1928. She married the love of her life Leslie, in 1952 and they spent 35 wonderful years together raising their family.

Grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kara Schultz and Magnus Ronnberg (Dante, Lanzen, Merlin), Adam and Kristi Green (Austin, Samantha), Kevin and Tara Green (Ayla, Ivy), Kurt and Heidi Schultz (Kendra, Hailey, Erika, Emily), Angela Green (Mia), Evan and Jenn Reid (Wyatt, Reese), Raven and Tim Lindberg (Judah, Willow, Sawyer, Sparrow); Sisters, June Shaw, Lily Tocheri. Brother, Mac Morsette; Sister-in-laws, Darleen Morsette, Emma Loader, Diane Loader, as well as many nieces and nephews. Eva was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Emily Loader, husband Leslie, brothers Frank, Bob, Tom, Dennis, Albert, John, and Joey.

Mom was a member of Westminster United Church for over 70 years and volunteered at every possible opportunity. She was employed by the T Eaton Company for many years and happily attended the Eaton’s Thunder Bay 25-year reunion in 2017. Throughout her life, Mom enjoyed bowling, fishing, card games, and travelling with her sisters to England, Spain, and Las Vegas. In 1991, Mom fulfilled a long-time dream, and to the delight of her children and grandchildren, arranged a fun-filled trip to Florida’s Disneyland, where wonderful memories were made. Mom was an avid baker with delicious cookies being her specialty. They were always made with love, and all eyes lit up when she generously offered them to family and friends. As a loyal and devoted Blue Jays fan, Mom could be counted on to share scores, stats, and schedules. Her word carried more weight than that of Buck Martinez.

Throughout Mom’s life, she worked tirelessly to keep a meticulously clean and well-maintained home, which demonstrated her character and strong work ethic. She also chose to find joy in each and every day. Her zest for life was inspiring, and she was truly 39 at heart! If love could have saved you Mom, you would have lived forever. We love you and will miss you always.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Susan Ivany of Westminster United Church officiating. Sadly, due to covid restrictions, attendance is limited to invitation only. Those wishing to attend the service virtually may do so by going to the Sargent & Son Facebook page.
