At the age of 87 she passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on February 12, 2016. Born in Amsterdam, Holland on October 30, 1928.
She married Herman on September 25, 1952 and were blessed with two children, Wilma and Jack, seven grandchildren and one greatgrandson.
In April 1961 they immigrated to Thunder Bay, Canada and became members of First Christian Reformed Church.
She dearly loved the Lord, for over forty years she enjoyed the weekly hymn singing at the different nursing homes. She loved her family and was loved by them all.
Predeceased by her parents, brother, sister and sister-in-law.
Visitation for family will be on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at First Christian Reformed Church ( Highway 130/Arthur St.). On Friday, February 19, 2016 family and friends will gather at the First Christian Reformed Church at 11:00am and then proceed on to Sunset Memorial Gardens for funeral service.
Afterwards a church service will be conducted at 12:30pm at the First Christian Reformed Church by Pastor Joe Hamilton followed by a light luncheon. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Everdina Taalen will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
