Faye Pacholczak, age 86, of Thunder Bay, Ontario, passed away with her family by her side into the presence of her Saviour on August 5th, 2024.

A lovely and friendly soul, Faye was loyal to her family, the Toronto Blue Jays, and, most of all, her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She was a “second mother” to many of her children’s friends and a bright shining light to all.

Faye was born on December 26, 1937 in Oshawa, Ontario. She enjoyed her work in retail sales, especially her time at Sears Canada in Menswear at Intercity Mall. Faye served with Stonecroft Ministries as chairperson of Thunder Bay’s Christian Women’s Club and led countless Bible Coffees to help others experience the Holy Scriptures.

In 1969, Faye met George at Pinewood Mercury Sales. They married in June 1971. Faye and George went on to have two children, Kathleen Rae and Christopher Earl.

Faye is survived by her loving husband George, children Kathleen (Joseph) Arena and Christopher (Shawnee) Pacholczak, grandchildren Jag and Olivia Arena, Grace (Dylan) Riggs, Keith, Hannah, Rainbow, and Cephas Pacholczak, and great grandchild Franklin Riggs and cousins Janet (Jim) Dowson, Maureen (Ken) Dowson, Ina (Tom) Gladman, Donna-Rae Powell (Fred) and their families. She is preceded in death by her mother Aileene DeGuerre, beloved Uncles and Aunts: Rae & Gladys McMaster; Earl & Irene (Bubbles) McMaster, and cousins Darryl McMaster.

Faye will be dearly missed by her in-laws Chester, Brenda, Christine (John), and Jim (Adele) and their families; her friends including Carole Nyul, Terri Renaud, Terry Wainwright (Al, Janice and Kathy), as well as her Best Friend Forever Miriam Kettering.

Those who loved Faye are invited to celebrate her life on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Urban Abbey (308 Red River Road) for an Open House at 11am and Memorial Service at Noon with refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Humane Society, The Urban Abbey, and Alpha Ministries Canada — causes Faye felt strongly about. Attendees are welcome to wear something yellow — Faye’s favourite colour and symbol of joy. Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com.
