With broken hearts, we are devastated to announce that Fletcher David Binch passed away unexpectedly during a nap from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) on July 1, 2023. Just 18 days after his first birthday.
Fletcher was born on June 13, 2022 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre to loving parents David and Amy Binch, joining proud big brother Reece.
Fletcher gave us a lifetime of love and joy during his short time with us. Fletcher’s smile lit up the room. His laughs and giggles were contagious. He found such happiness in every aspect of life and was able to experience so much in the past year. He loved playing in the sand, splashing in the water, blowing bubbles, and making his brother laugh. Fletcher was truly a blessing. He was a perfect son and brother. His life was a brief gift to us that will live on forever in our hearts.
He will be lovingly remembered and so dearly missed by his family: parents David and Amy, brother Reece; nanny and papa, Lorna and Phil Ward, grandma Gail Marion and grandparents Bruce and Lynda Binch; aunts and uncles: Allison Ward and Adrian Grassia, Avery Binch and Kristoff Karpiuk, Adam and Sarah Sprovieri; he also leaves behind many honorary “aunties, uncles and cousins” who loved him so much.
Thank you to all of the first responders and hospital staff, you carried us through the worst day of our lives. We think about you all and the compassion you gave us often. Thank you to all our families and friends for the love, support, and kind words during this time.
A Memorial Service for Fletcher will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church, 47 Walkover Street.
