Guiliano (Gino) Gerolami passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. After a courageous year of defeating pancreatic cancer, Gino fought until the end with a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eyes.
Gino was born in Pasiano di Pordenone on August 4, 1940 and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1961. After three years of missing her and writing her letters, his true love, Elena Bresolin, would join him and they would begin their beautiful life together. Gino began his work in Canada as a labourer and eventually began his plumbing career which grew into the family business of Gerolami Mechanical. Gino took pride in his trade and guided his sons and grandson until recently and even still, throughout his treatment, he continued to contribute daily. What Gino cherished most was family dinners, with a glass of Chianti, followed by a game of Bestia. Gino was a long-time member of Da Vinci Centre and St. Dominic’s R.C Church.
Gino will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Elena; his beloved children, Daniel (Judy), John (Allison) and Sherry (Andrea), and his grandchildren, Alex (Victoria), Juliana, Adriana, Ashley, Chiara, Millaray, and Catalina. He is survived by his brother Joe (Judy) Gerolami, his sister Milena (Dominic) Facca, and his aunt Regina Mottin. Gino is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and lifelong friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Giulio, his mother, Flora (nee Mottin) Gerolami and brothers Venicio and John.
Funeral Services for the late Mr. Guiliano Gerolami will be held on Tuesday, November 2nd 2021 with family and friends gathering in St. Dominic’s R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass at 11:00am, celebrated by Father Michael Mahoney, followed by a gathering at Da Vinci Centre.
