With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Glen Lane, resident of Round Lake, at St Joseph's Care Group, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

He was born in Fort William and grew up in South Gillies. He was employed by Manitoba Pool Elevator for over 30 year and was a grain inspector on retirement.

Glen was known for his great sense of humour and "always joking around". He enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling and gardening in his later years. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. He volunteered for the Thunder Bay Food Bank, Hymers Fall Fair, Nolalu Community Centre and for 10 plus years was active with a group of volunteers made up of family and friends who fund-raised for The Renal Patients at TBRHSC.

He was very supportive of his family. He made sure to always point out a beautiful sunset watched from a dimly lit room. He looked forward to times shared with Ryan listening to country music.

Glen will be lovingly missed by his wife Roberta, son Ryan, cherished granddaughter Sarah, son-in-law Dan, sisters Irene, Helen, and Betty (Fred), brother-in-law and friend David (Linda) and numerous nephews, nieces and their families.

He was predeceased by his daughter Pam, parents John and Sadie, brothers Vern and Earl, sisters Vera, Hazel, Peggy, Fay and father and mother-in-law Joe and Irene Webb.

As per Glen’s wishes, there will be no service. If so desired donations to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation RENAL PATIENT FUND or St. Theresa Church in Kakabeka Falls would be gratefully appreciated.

Our thanks are extended to Superior North EMS paramedics, staff of TBRHSC emergency, 2A and 2C who were so dedicated to Glen's comfort and care and the staff of St. Joseph's Hospice. Sincere appreciation to Dr Diane Bannon, Dr Abugharib, Dr Ibrahim and Dr Lahlouh for their support and to Travis at Northwest Funeral Alternative.

We would like to convey a special thank you to brother David, nephew John and cousin Karen for taking such good care of us.
