It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our mother, Gloria on September 11, 2024, at the age of 83.
Gloria was born in Port Arthur, ON, on April 28, 1941, to Irene and Thomas Duke. She married Delbert Crosson on February 28, 1959. Together they built a home in McKenzie, where they raised their 4 children. Gloria was the backbone of the family. She made sure there were always amazing home cooked meals and that everyone was taken care of. Gloria and Del celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together before Del’s passing in 2009.
Gloria worked at Canada Post for most of her working career. Once retired, her and Del enjoyed their winters in Sebring, FL. They also enjoyed numerous vacations and cruises together. Bingo and the casino were also one of Gloria’s favourite pastimes. In later years, she stayed in Thunder Bay enjoying her time with family and friends.
Gloria is survived by her children, Darlene (Louie), Debbie (Will), Dale (Debbie); grandchildren, Mathew (Chantel), Sheldon (Danielle), Meghan (Nathan), Kiana, Deanna (Robert), Dyana (Lewis), Dayna, Drake (Julianna), Donovan (Erica); great-grandchildren, Bryce, Emmett, Aspen, Grayson, Dale, Bruce, Malik and Athena. She is also survived by her brother, Tom (Clara); sisters, Marilyn (Pekka), Colleen (Reg); and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Delbert; son, Dennis; and grandson, Bryce.
Per Gloria’s wishes, a private ceremony has already taken place.
