Ms. Hazel (Dot) Fenton, age 72 years, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, March 25, 2018.
Dot was born and raised in Squaw Bay and worked in the hospitality industry. Her favourite past times included playing pool, dice and Bingo. Spending time with family and friends was always a high point in her life. Dot was a friend to all and would share with anyone, especially those in need. Coffee was always on and she welcomed all who knocked on her door. Dot was a gift to all who knew and loved her. She gave without expectation and never let anyone go without. She gave all she had and more. Dot was a pillar of strength and love. Her love will live on in the many hearts of those she touched. While Dot may be gone, her love will always be.
Dot is survived by her loving husband Charles; daughters Shirley and Roberta and son Tuck; sisters Anne, Rita, Yvonne and brother Laverne (Myria). Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends, especially Bama, also survive.
She was predeceased by her parents, Alphonse and Josephine; sisters Mary and Shirley; brothers Gilbert and Neil; son-in-law Ken Everett and numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services for the late Ms. Hazel Fenton will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11:00am in St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church (Mission Road, Fort William First Nation). Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James, with Vigil Prayers offered at 7:00pm.
