Mrs. Helen Edith Anderson (nee Langila), age 103 years, passed away peacefully in Grandview Lodge on Wednesday, December 16, 2015.
Helen was born in Port Arthur on November 5, 1912 and was the youngest child of Alex and Mimi Langila. She was educated locally and was a Teacher in her early years. Helen was a loving, strong and determined woman and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Helen is survived by her special niece, Darlene Angus as well as other nieces, nephews and relatives. She was predeceased by her husband, John (1966); her parents; a sister, Wilma Elmes and two brothers Herman and Archie Langila.
A big thank you goes to the doctors, nurses and staff at Grandview Lodge, especially E Wing, for the dedicated care and comfort that you provided to Helen during the seven-and-a-half years she resided there.
As per Helen's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Helen to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
