Mr. Hermann Wilhelm Hoerz age 87 years of Kakabeka Falls passed away peacefully on August 5, 2015. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany.
He came to Canada in 1951 to get to know a new country that he came to love. Hermann worked in many different fields before finishing his career life as a Hereford Cattle Breeder. He was a doer, a thinker, a family-man; avid skier, enjoyed fishing and an enthusiastic motorcycle rider. He lived the life he wanted to live - his way.
Hermann will be lovingly remembered by his wife Hildegard, son Dieter (Lina), daughter Dorothy Daneff (Derek), along with grandchildren Daniel and Christine. He will also be missed by his sisters Grete and Rose as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 1:30pm in the Blake Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Hubert Den Draak officiating. A private family interment will follow in O'Connor Cemetery. If friends desire, memorials to Central United Church Kakabeka, Thunder Bay Humane Society or charity of choice would be appreciated.
Hermann Hoerz will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
