It is with great sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of Holly Irene Paxson-Ball (Hamilton) on November 1, 2016, peacefully at home.

Holly was born on July 28, 1959 in Port Arthur to Don and Irene Hamilton.  She attended Vance Chapman School and graduated from Lakeview High School.  Holly had various jobs throughout the years but her favourite was working with the youth at the MNR Junior Ranger camps.

Holly’s main interests were travelling with her spouse Dick, to many wonderful places in the world. She always said her favourite place was Hawaii, where her son Joey joined them for a vacation.  Holly loved watching her son surfing, parasailing and relaxing in the sun.

Joey was Holly’s pride and joy.  She enjoyed every stage of his life from birth to the fine man that he is today.  She was always happy to be bragging about Joey’s achievements, especially as he became an Instrumentation Technician.

Holly had many life-long friends and was truly loved.  She had great sense of humour which will be missed by everyone she touched. She also had a special bond with her nieces Katie, Melissa, Suzie and their children.  Grandma Holly and Papa Ball had an exceptional relationship with grandchildren Kassie and Kameron Ball. She treasured every minute with them.

Holly loved her life on Cummins Lake.  She and Dick spent hours tootling around the lake on the pontoon boat or out on the trails on their quads.  They worked together, side by side, creating beautiful gardens and enjoying their home.

Holly is survived by husband Dick Ball, son Joe Paxson (Catherine Antcliffe), father Don Hamilton, brother Donny Hamilton (Rose), sister-in-law Eija Hamilton, nieces Katie, Melissa and Suzie.  Also survived by Rick Ball (Kathy), Marty Ball (Shannyn), grandchildren Jordan & Ashley, Ally (Nick Falcetta), Kassie & Kameron Ball, Marc Richichi and other relatives

Holly was predeceased by her mother Irene Hamilton, brothers Jimmy and Kelly, Grandparents and other relatives.

Following cremation, a celebration of Holly’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016 at Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Interment will held be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Holly’s memory to the Northern Cancer Fund or charity of your choice.
