With profound sadness and broken hearts the family of Jack Wall announce his passing. Born John Christopher Wall on April 21st, 1949 to Lorraine and Joseph Wall in Fort William (Thunder Bay), ON.
After battling cancer on and off since 2005, Jack passed away from complications after life-saving heart surgery. He fought a long hard battle in the last 2 months, but was able to be home at Christmas, a Christmas we will cherish forever. Jack was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Deb; children and stepchildren, Steve (Angela), Kate (Jenn), Kristen and Courtney Wall, Al (Trista), Jamie (Trina) Corbett, and Sophia Anglehart; siblings Ricky, Dorothy (Jerry), Joseph, Bernie (Dani), Gordon (Judy), Aunt Dixie Oliver, and father-in-law Daniel Wiwcharuk and brothers-in-law Glen (Eve) and Wes (Lucy), as well as his precious 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
Predeceased by parents Lorraine and Joseph Wall, Aunt Inez Brown, cousin Cathy Markevich, and cousin Sybil Johnson.
Jack held many jobs before becoming the warehouse manager for lntegris Metals (formerly Atlas Alloys Metals), retiring in 2005 due to illness. Jack also played bass guitar and sang with Flipper Flanagan's Flat Footed Four, a band that he was only going to "fill in for'' while they found a new bass player because he "didn't like their music." That was 46 years ago! He was part of the Grumpy Grandpas Children's show, cast member with Mile Hill Melodrama, and an MC on the main stage at the Hymer's Fall Fair.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service has been held. A Celebration of his life will be held on April 21, 2024, which would've been his 75th birthday. Time and place to be announced. The interment to follow at a later date.
