It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Jason "Jay" Justin Hammond (Thunder Bay, Ontario) on September 18, 2024, at the age of 38.
Jason is survived by his mother Caroline Shedden, his two fur legged girls Teeana and Roseanna, his brother Andrew (Megan) Hammond, sister Erin (Bruce) McMuldroch, niece Katya Hammond, nephew Ethan Hammond, and uncle Roger Kivi. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, extended family (both biological and chosen) and friends who will miss him.
Jason was predeceased by his stepfather Roderick Shedden, his grandparents; Esko and Toini Kivi, George and Kathe Hammond.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. A family gathering to honour Jason will be held at a later date.
The family would like to sincerely thank everyone who offered their support following Jason’s passing.
