Mr. John Duncanson, age 92 years, passed away peacefully in Pinewood Court on Thursday, April 22nd, 2015.
John was born in Glasgow, Scotland on March 10, 1923 and later immigrated to Canada in 1947. Over the years, he had worked for several companies and institutions, most notably at Lakehead University in the Engineering Department, retiring in 1988. John was also very active with the 55+ Centre as well as with the Thunder Bay Accessibility Committee.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years Edie, his daughter Wendy (Richard Heyder) Royston and his grandsons Paul (Esther) Royston of Wellesley, ON and Graham Royston of Ottawa, ON. John was predeceased by his parents.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Charity of your Choice.
