John Kaleta

Mr. John Kaleta, age 62 years, a resident of Thunder Bay passed away peacefully in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hospice on June 28, 2018.

John attended Saint Theresa’s Elementary School, then Lakeview High School, and subsequently Confederation College, all in Thunder Bay. From an early age, John displayed a keen interest in electronics and how they work. John worked as an Electronics Technologist in Air Traffic and Marine Systems for Transport Canada and then NAV Canada. He was a member of the Lakehead Amateur Radio Club with callsign VE3EMI, the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Polish Alliance of Canada.

John was predeceased by his parents Stephan and Helena Kaleta. He will be missed by his friends.

A Celebration of John’s Life will be shared on Thursday, July 5, 2018 with Words of Tribute beginning at 11:00 a.m. followed by a meal in the Reception Hall of Harbourview Funeral Centre.
