Mr. Julian Stokaluk, age 83 years passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Julian was born on February 12, 1927 in Port Arthur to Anthony and Lily Stokaluk. He worked for the Port Arthur Ship Building Company for 40 years and retired as an Electrical Foreman. From 1960 to 1966 he was a Pro at Northshore Golf Course. He loved to garden and enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds.
Julian is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nellie; son Bill (Norine); daughter Pat Prystanski (Peter); grandchildren: Julie Shields (Kelly), Chris, Kimberley, Adam, Laura and Rob; brothers: Emil (Efie), Lawrence (Elsie); sisters-in-law Phyllis and Hilkka. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers Paul (Charlotte), Mike (Helen), Stanley (Helen), Sam and Steve.
The family would like to thank Thunder Bay 911, Paramedics, Thunder Bay Firefighters 1st Response and the Thunder Bay Police for their assistance.
A Private Family interment service will be held at a later date in Mountainview Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial donations made to Northern Cancer Research Foundation or to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
