Kathleen was born on July 18, 1916 in Port Arthur and was a life long resident of the city. She was a long time member of Knox United Church, Shuniah Street where she taught Sunday School for many years and as a member of the U.C.W. spent many hours baking and serving at church teas and dinners.
Kathleen’s main interests were her family, church and friends. She could be found at home baking, keeping a tidy home, knitting (sweaters, mittens, scarves) for her children, grandkids and church. Many an evening was spent with friends and family around the table playing cards and board games.
Kathleen will be graciously remembered by her children Ken (Viola), Carol (Frank) Arnold and Gary (Betty); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Edith Marsh and brothers Edward, Gerald, Melbourne, and Warner Marsh; special nephew and Godson Donald Williamson and wife Vicky. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
She was predeceased by her husband of sixty years Christian (1994); sisters Vernis Keenan and Jean Allard and brothers Roy and Arthur Marsh.
The family thanks the nurses and staff of Dawson Court, 1 North and 1 South for the kindness and special care of our mom during her many years of residence in their facility.
A private interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma in care of arrangements. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of their choice.
