With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kevin Douglas Beange at the young age of 50 years. Kevin will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, proud father, attentive son, caring brother, fun uncle and cherished friend.

Kevin was born September 14th,1973 in Fort Frances to Blake and Gwen Beange.  He moved to Nipigon when he was two years old.  He attended school in Nipigon and Red Rock before moving to Thunder Bay to attend Confederation College.  As an electrical apprentice he worked out of Dryden before settling in Thunder Bay working at the Thunder Bay paper mill.

Kevin loved the outdoors and learned his passion for hunting and fishing from his father.  He shared such experiences with his sons from an early age, toting them along fishing and bird hunting as soon as they were out of diapers.  Kevin started taking the boys when they were quite young to the yearly moose camp trip which was a tradition for the Beange men and their closest friends.  A proud hockey dad, Kevin spent time first coaching his boys and then cheering from the stands with year-round weekend trips for hockey tournaments.  As the boys got older and more independent, he turned his attention to training and travelling to compete in triathlons including two Ironman races.  A few years ago, Kevin bought himself his dream boat for fishing the big lake and exploring island light houses.  Over the past summers he and Krista were able to enjoy spending more time at camp together and with family.  Kevin loved adventure and was always planning something new to do or see.

Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Krista, his sons Kolton and Kaelan, his mother Gwen, sisters Jodi (Garry Noga) and Julie Asselin (Shaun), father-in-law Jack Robertson, sister-in-law Sheri Lindstrom (Matt) and brother-in-law Tim Robertson (Tracy) as well as nieces and nephews Brett, Kassidy, Olivia, Quinn, Carson, Lucas and Wyatt.

Kevin was predeceased by his father, Blake Beange and mother-in-law Elaine Robertson.

As per his wishes Kevin has been cremated and he will be laid to rest in a private family service in the Stanley Hill Cemetery at a later date. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Murillo Hall on Oliver Road Thursday June 13th, 2024, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm with words of tribute at 2:00 pm.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. DelPaggio and all the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Cancer Clinic and on 1A for their kindness and compassion. If so desired and in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Northern Cancer Fund. www.healthsciencesfoundation.ca/cancer-donate. Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com.

How grateful we are to have had something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
