It’s with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Laureen on Friday, November 1st, 2024 at the TBRHSC at the age of 63, with her family by her side.
Left to mourn are husband Stephen, daughters Shannon Kay and Stephanie Kusznier, sisters Eileen and family, Charleen and family and special niece Leah Tait, mother-in-law Ollie Kusznier, brothers-in-law Mark Kusznier and Barry Kusznier and their families. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Predeceased by parents William and Colleen Izzard, grandparents and her father-in-law, the late Constable John S. Kusznier.
Laureen worked many years in retail, her last being with LCBO as Assistant Manager. Laureen’s passion was her flower gardens, pride of a well kept home, cooking and her family. She loved to fish, camp, travel and so much more.
We wish to thank Dr. Jeremy Mozzon, family physician along with his colleagues and nurses at TBRHSC. Your call went on and above duty in caring for Laureen through her journey. Also to many close family and friends, especially Joanne & Rob.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society or Thunder Bay District Humane Society would be appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 16th at St. Elizabeth’s Church hall, 766 Sprague St. from 11 - 3pm.
