Cambly, Lawrence(Lorne)
Lawrence William Cambly, age 71, formerly a resident of Castlegreen Community, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
Lorne was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and relocated to Thunder Bay, (Fort William) with his parents, Lorne and Yvonne in 1946.
Lorne was quite personable and made many friends while attending local schools. Upon graduating from high school, he had hopes of being an architect and was the recipient of an award for his creative ability in house design.
He entered the retail sales world and worked for various local merchants, till ill health forced him into early retirement. He struggled with MS at an early age and for decades he coped with the disease, which took him down a difficult path in life.
Predeceased by his parents and second wife Linnea, Lorne is survived by his two children, Darryl (Jen) and Kelly (Anthony) in Burlington ON.
He is also survived by his brothers Greg (Gay), Dennis in Edmonton AB, and Reg (Doris) in Winnipeg MB.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held later in Mountain View Cemetery. A note of appreciation and thanks are extended to the staff at Castlegreen for the excellent care given and compassion shown to Lorne, during the many years he resided there.
