In Loving Memory of Mrs. Louise Annie Wolch (Knorr), aged 86.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Louise Annie Wolch, a beloved resident of Thunder Bay, on December 31, 2023, at Hogarth Riverview Manor, surrounded by her devoted family.

Born on August 26, 1937, in Denholm, Saskatchewan, Louise's journey began on the family farm near Battleford, Saskatchewan. A woman of immense strength and warmth, Louise dedicated her life to being a nurturing homemaker, raising her five children with unwavering love. Her altruistic spirit extended to a few years as a nurses' aide, where she touched countless lives with her compassionate care.

Louise found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, and one of her most cherished pastimes where the laughter-filled gatherings with family and friends, sharing precious moments with card games that created lasting bonds.

She was predeceased by her husbands Rae Wolch and Brian Millard, her son Vincent Gerald Wolch, daughter Brenda Lee Cairns, and other dear family members, including her father Jack Knorr, mother Annie Knorr (Oborowski), siblings Larry, John, Ben, Madeline, Ilene, and granddaughter Katlyn Klinger. Their memories live on as a testament to the rich tapestry of Louise's life.

Louise leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her children, Dale, Jack (Bobbi), Gary (Karen), Judy, and son-in-law Ron Cairns. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Willy (Elaine), Betty Ann (Don), Lydia, as well as numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were the source of endless pride and joy.

In accordance with Louise's wishes, no formal service will be held, allowing her family and friends to remember her in their own private and personal ways. An internment ceremony at Sunset Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date, for immediate family and close friends.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate and dedicated staff at Hogarth Riverview Manor for their exceptional care and unwavering support during Louise's final days.

As we say goodbye to a remarkable woman, may Louise Annie Wolch find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to bring comfort and solace to those who had the privilege of sharing in the tapestry of her beautiful life.
